Indian Oil Corp Ltd (IOCL) is planning to set up a compressed biogas plant in Rakhra in Patiala district in Punjab. The selected premises is the closed sugar mills belongs to co-operative federation.
The biogas plant will also generate 75,000 tonnes of manure per year.
The project cost is estimated at ₹ 1800 million with a production of 30 tpd with a feedstock of 300 tonnes of paddy straws.
