Sukbhir Agro Energy plans 18 MW biomass project in Hukumat Singh Wala

Sukbhir Agro Energy is planning to set up a biomass power project in Hukumat Singh Wala village in Firozepur Tehsil and District in Punjab. The project involves setting up of biomass based (mostly of paddy straw ) power plant with a capacity of 18 MW. The plant will have a boiler with a capacity of 80 TPH and will consume 150000 tonnes of paddy straw.

The project cost is estimated at ₹ 1446 million. Land required for the project is around 42.43 acres and the company is in the process of land acquisition. As of January 2019, the project is in planning stage.
